The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the world's largest technical professional association, is expanding its global operations in Asia by opening an office in the central business district of Bangalore.
To commemorate the India launch, IEEE will host India Industry Day on March 10 and 11 in Bangalore: a two-day technology summit aimed at encouraging collaboration among key thought leaders from around the world. This forum will be attended by leaders of the Indian technology sector. The new office will enable IEEE to further support engineering and technical professionals in the country through a variety of educational and certification programs. IEEE has a 23,000-strong member base in the country, a press release from the institution stated.
