Delhi State Government launched Kerosene-free Delhi Scheme
In an initiative to make the national capital Kerosene free, the
Delhi Government launched Kerosene-free Delhi scheme on 21 August 2012
in capital. Under this scheme, over 3.50 lakh households will get LPG
cylinder and a gas stove free of cost in the coming days. The government
, while launching the scheme, distributed the cylinders and stove to
200 beneficiaries. The state government will spend 108 crore rupees on
this scheme. With this scheme, Delhi is likely to become the first kerosene-free city in the country.
