Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity has
been conferred the prestigious Web Ratna 2012, ‘Golden Icon Award for
Innovative use of Technology’. The award was received by Director
General of DAVP A P Frank Noronha from Hon’ble Minister of
Communication and Information Technology, Kapil Sibal at a function
in New Delhi.
The Web Ratna awards, constituted by the Ministry of
Communication and Information Technology, acknowledges exemplary
initiatives/practices in the realm of e-governance. In order to promote
more innovative e-governance initiatives, the Web Ratna Awards have been
instituted under the ambit of the National Portal of India.
