86th Annual Academy Oscar Awards 2014
The 86th Annual Academy Oscar Awards 2014 was announced on 2 March 2014 and the best picture award was won by 12 Years A Slave of Steve McQueen. The film has portrayed America’s slave in past. The film is based on the Solomon Northup’s 1853 memoir was hailed for its honest portrayal of one of the darkest chapters in American history. 12 Years A Slave is the first film directed by a black filmmaker to win the best picture Oscar award.
