Kapil Parakh Selected for White House Fellowship 2013-14
Kapil Parakh (Person of Indian Origin), a cardiologist at Johns Hopkins has been selected for the prestigious White House Fellowship for the year 2013-14 along with 11 others. Kapil Parakh is a co-founder of Health for America, a non-profit organisation that mobilises youth to improve the health of communities through innovation while shaping the next generation of leaders. He was selected in a national competition based on a record of professional achievement, evidence of leadership potential, and a proved commitment to public service. Kapil Parakh is the Director of Heart Failure Programs at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Centre and holds Assistant Professor's post in the Departments of Medicine, Epidemiology, and Health Behaviour & Society at the Johns Hopkins.The White House Fellows Program is one of America's most prestigious programs for leadership and public service.
