The third and final limited-overs international between India and Australia has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due a wet outfield at the Nehru Stadium.
Match referee Chris Broad and umpires Billy Bowden and Amiesh Saheba made repeated inspections o nSunday before deciding the outfield was unfit for play following rains over the past few days.
India won the one-day series 1-0 after a five-wicket victory in the second match at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. The first match at Kochi last Sunday was also abandoned because of rain.
Australia returns home winless in India after losing the preceding two-test series 2-0. They also drew a tour match against an Indian Board President’s XI.
