India along with 30 other countries would be testing air mobility operations skills in 'Air Mobility Rodeo 2011', scheduled to commence from 24th July.
The goal of the RODEO competition is to develop and improve techniques and procedures that enhance air mobility operations such as delivering cargo and refuelling aircraft.
In total more than 150 teams and 3,000 people, both US and international are expected to participate. The last competition took place in July 2009 at McChord, Washington.
"RODEO showcases AMC's best of the best and allows us to train and learn through spirited competition," said Brig Gen Frederick H Martin, AMC Directorate of Operations and RODEO 2011 commander.
"Not only does this world-class competition train mobility forces for the fight, it provides a forum for Airmen and our international partners to share the best of tactics and techniques.
"Improvement and cooperation are essential in our continued participation in global contingency operations," he said.
In addition, this is the first year for the International Aeromedical Evacuation and Enroute Care Conference (20-21 July), and the International Airdrop Symposium (19-21 July).
